A superlative LED light: Small with a good balance of lumen output/battery life. Very smooth beam with very little trace of artifacts... Machining and build quality are also very nice.
I liked it so much the day after I received mine I bought an SC31 and sold my PT Remix Pro and my PD31 R5. These little lights are that nice.
An excellent value- |

Nothing wrong with the interface I say. All you need to do is hold the button a split second when you turn it on and it will remain on low instead of going to high. So, hardly a complaint at all, and I'd say it makes even more sense. If you're in such a rush for light that you can't spare that extra quarter second of button pressing you probably need high anyway. If you have time to think "oh, I just need a little light" then you have time to hold the button slightly. |

The default short one click ON setting should be Medium, not High. High is a battery drainer and it should be harder to get at. |

Very pleased with purchase! Every day use at job. Most often, using the Mid mode - turn on the two short press. Sometimes needed many light - then one short click to Hi. Rarely, but also using, Min - switch on a long press.
I think management is very friendly and correct. So, the light is excellent.
Of the requests - would luminous O-ring in front of the glass, rather than on the body. |

I loved the H30, I have use it many times, it is my favorite headlight. I gave mine to a friend and want to order another, but now I see the H31 is replacing it. The H31 looks very good except for one major difference - when the button it touched it comes on in High! For me this seems like a very poor choice - can you please change this? Maybe make it come on at the last level selected, or always in Low? |

The H31 Headlamp CR123 220L is VERY bright. It projects light farther than the old H30-Q5 headlamp but,it produces more of an intense hot spot at close ranges. For close distances(within arm's length),I prefer the older H30 for its wide angle & lack of hot spots. However, the new H31 has many nice improvements over the old design, including:brighter LED, adjustable settings & an upgraded UI;while remaining compact.I'd love to see these new upgrades in the wide-angle version of the headlamp as well. |
